Focus: A critique of ideological noise, the echoes of history (Pol Pot), and a call for Gen Z to replace shouting with art.
Some might expect a ‘voice in the wilderness’ – a guide to show the way or speak the truth over the howling wind. But that’s not me. I am a single grain in the desert. I am no bigger than the sand around me. The only difference is: this grain doesn’t lie still. This grain sings. Rather than piling more sand onto the heap with endless discussion, I choose to vibrate with satire and blues.
The Echo of the Killing Fields
Because speaking of sand… remember the Khmer Rouge? Pol Pot? They had a clear ideology, a hatred for the elite, and a deafening roar that ended in the Killing Fields. A desert of their own making.
And yet, we hear the screeching parrots today. They fail to see that the Palestinian desert holds grains intent on that same destruction. They whip up a sandstorm that drifts into the gardens of Europe, blinding us with grand speeches about human rights.
The New Ideology
But behind the noise, is this not simply Pol Pot 2.0?
So, Gen Z: shut up. Pick up a guitar or something. Stop the shouting, start playing.
