Retainer Framework & Engagement Phases
This Retainer Framework applies to all ongoing advisory services described under the Competences directory, with the explicit exception of standalone, one-off events. The retainer structured approach recognizes four essential phases through which the desired outcomes and strategic solutions are constructed:
Exploratory & Commissioning
- NDA Execution: Establishing total confidentiality and trust.
- Intake & Assessment: Comprehensive mapping of the case.
- Defining Scope: Explicitly outlining goals and mandates.
- Evaluation & Award: Formal commissioning of the assignment.
Analysis & Strategy Execution
- Assessment & Research: Deep dive into primary evidence.
- Scope Recalibration: Adjusting parameters based on data.
- Modular Development: Building structured action modules.
- Consolidation: Finalizing strategy and execution goals.
Conflict Management
- Identifying Friction: Pinpointing existing & potential risks.
- Action Plan: Structuring strategic interventions.
- Progress Evaluation: Monitoring dynamics in real-time.
- Internal Comms Plan: Delivering internal messaging guidelines.
Completion & Solutions
- Presentation of Findings: Final delivery of strategic insights.
- Third-Party Comms: Framing external communications.
- Final Evaluation: Assessing overall trajectory.
- Acceptance of Solutions: Formal handover and closure.
Billing Structure & Fee Terms
To guarantee progress, structured allocation of resources, and mutual commitment, each phase is estimated in advance based on projected hours and direct operational expenses:
- 20% Upfront Retainer Deposit: Invoiced and due at the initiation of each specific phase to secure capacity and commence work.
- 80% Completion Settlement: Invoiced and due upon delivery and completion of the deliverables defined within that phase.
- Travel & Accommodation Expenses: Any required travel, lodging, or on-site attendance expenses are estimated and billed 100% in advance prior to departure.
